Plot[]

Convinced that his failure to defeat Motherboard is simply a result of bad luck, Hacker decides to collect the Ten Lucky Charms of Cyberspace. Though Hacker succeeds in nabbing the first nine Lucky Charms, he tasks Buzz and Delete to nab the final one while secretly intending to replace them both with a more better henchman. When Motherboard learns realizes what Hacker is doing, she sends Digit and the kids to the Forest, where they use a Venn diagram to deduce and find the last Lucky Charm: a small blue bunny rabbit. Unfortunately, Buzz and Delete nabbed the bunny and flew back to the Northern Frontier.

As Buzz and Delete head back to the Northern Frontier, Hacker hires a new henchman named Baskerville, who takes the bunny and gives it to Hacker to take credit. With all 10 Lucky Charms finally in his possession, Hacker's luck changes and good things start to happen for him, such as gaining control of several cybersites. Delighted by this turn of events, Hacker unjustly fires Buzz and Delete while promoting Baskerville as his new right hand man. Enraged of what just happened, a spiteful Buzz and Delete took action by stealing Hacker's "Book of the Borgs" and secretly giving it to Digit and the kids. Using another Venn diagram equipped inside the book, Digit and the kids manage to get the Lucky Charms free from Hacker's grasp and back to their homes, thus undoing Hacker's luck. Digit and the kids then leave, and Hacker (who ends up being stuck in a mud pit) is forced to rehire Buzz and Delete because Baskerville quitted his job after Hacker lost his luck.

Extras[]

  • Math Topic: "Of All The Luck" uses Venn diagrams to discuss the logical operators "and", "or", and "not". It draws attention to the distinction between "and" and "or" to make choices from a group of members with different properties. Similar skills are used in Logic Zoo.
  • For Real segment: "A Pizza to Go with Gross Anchovies" - Bianca is ordering a pizza for her friends, Darcy and Lupe. Both Darcy and Lupe want anchovies, but Bianca can't bear to be near them, let alone eat them! How can they order a pie with the toppings arranged so the anchovies are nowhere near her pieces? She uses a Venn Diagram similar to the one Matt, Jackie, and Inez used in the show to figure it out.
