"A Fraction of a Chance" is the tenth and final episode of Season 5 of Cyberchase. It originally aired on September 3, 2007.
As the last-aired episode produced by Nelvana, "A Fraction of a Chance" is also the last episode to use a digital ink-and-paint animation style; the established versions of certain 3D models (like Motherboard), visual effects, and sound effects; and some elements of the closing credits. The episode is also a notable last appearance of the vortex, besides the reanimated title sequence from Season 10.

When Matt, Jackie and Inez get stuck in the vortex of a cyberportal, it’s up to Digit to rescue them. He just needs to find the U.V.O. – the Universal Vortex Opener. But all the portals are jammed, so how’s he supposed to travel anywhere? Assistance comes from a surprising source – Wicked! Digit and Wicked must work together to solve the puzzling clues that will reveal the location of the U.V.O. But they have to hurry – if the kids aren’t rescued soon, they’ll dematerialize! Can Digit and Wicked find the U.V.O in time? And is there even a fraction of truth to Wicked’s claim she only wants to help out?

- This is the last episode to be directed by Jason Groh. It is also the last to credit Jade Digital Inc., Studio 360, Blupka, Michael Ulster, and some other regularly credited people and companies.
- This episode is the last time Penguia is shown without signs of civilization, and the last appearance of non-speaking penguins. It is the second and last time (after "A Time to Cook") in which Digit speaks penguin to communicate with them.
- This is the first and only appearances of The Universal Vortex Opener (UVO) and The Amulet of Amagansett.
- This is the last episode to use the digital ink-and-paint animation system and the last episode to be produced in 2006.
- This is also the last episode to be produced in the 4:3 aspect ratio. Beginning with the Season 6 episode “Digit’s B-Day Surprise,” the show would be produced in widescreen (PBS wouldn’t air the show like this until the Season 10 episode “Fit To Be Heroes”).
- Digit says to Wicked she’s a genius and Wicked says "Again?" and Digit replies "I'll let you know in a minute." He never did.
- This episode first aired on September 3, 2007, the same day that both Super Why! and WordWorld first aired, witch are both also PBS Kids series.
